simus35 Senior Member Registered: 10/09/08 Posts: 256 Loc: Canada(Kingston)	Hi I know is a weird question, but what is the best for the amp and the cab. My new cab I just got today is Marshall 1960 BV 4x12 and I can use in mono on 4 or 16 ohm, my head have the 3 setting 16,8 and 4 ohm. for this is not a problem. but what is the best set to 4 ohm or 16 ohm can some one can give more info on this thanks _________________________ sorry for my english i'm a french Canadien Laney VH100R Marshall VM2266 fender head Roland GA-120 Fender Stratocaster 1999 MIA Ibanez S520EX BK Godin LG Signature Ktone hollow body Epi 1960 Tribute Seagull S6

SEHpicker Gold Member Registered: 05/16/02 Posts: 748 Loc: Inverness, Florida	Don't do anything until you know what the impedence is for the speakers. And then set the swithch on the amp accordingly. You can damage the amp if you mismatch the inputs/outputs. Terrell Platinum Member Registered: 07/28/08 Posts: 1715 Loc: Austin, TX	A larger resistance is usually considered better for the amplifier... As long as you have the right taps (outputs on the amplifier to match the speaker load) and match the two, it shouldn't matter.
