Hi I know is a weird question, but what is the best for the ampand the cab.

My new cab I just got today is Marshall 1960 BV 4x12 and I can use in mono on 4 or 16 ohm, my head have the 3 setting 16,8 and 4 ohm. for this is not a problem. but what is the best set to 4 ohm or 16 ohm confused
can some one can give more info on this

Don't do anything until you know what the impedence is for the speakers. And then set the swithch on the amp accordingly. You can damage the amp if you mismatch the inputs/outputs.
There are people that know a lot more about this than I do but I wanted to warn you not to experiment!!!

the cab can bet set on 3 different way
stereo (8 ohm)
4 ohm if I set to mono and use the right input
8 ohm if I set to mono and use the left input
this cab his a Marshall cab with the selector in the back of the cab. I just want to know wich is the best setting 4 ohm or 16 ohm

A larger resistance is usually considered better for the amplifier... As long as you have the right taps (outputs on the amplifier to match the speaker load) and match the two, it shouldn't matter.
