I can tell you that sparks came off of it during machining though... Larryz MP Hall of Fame Member Registered: 06/23/08 Posts: 3579 Loc: Hwy 49, California	I think I like the walnut the best but the tiger wood is really cool too...I'm guessing a nice clear light satin finish where you can almost still feel the wood would be cool! How about the weight, does the tiger wood weigh lighter or heavier than the walnut? Is the walnut lighter or heavier than the other woods you have used?

Remember, Cuban mahogany is a species of mahogany and not a location. My source owns a managed grove of old growth in the South Pacific (where I get my Kelela from as well). It is protected as it was harvested nearly to extinction when they used it to build the Spanish Gallions and royalty furniture.
