5150 is code for: we're taking him to the puff unit (usually used for a guy running around the stage/streets with no clothes on). Truly a work of art...

I think it's also the street address on Mulholland Drive in LA where Eddie had a house/studio & much abused his neighbors with late night revelry.
And it's Peavey's metal amp head.

Oh the Irony...I'll bet you're right, it's more about Mulholland Drive than the puff unit. It's one cool looking guitar-work-of-art. It looks like it has many thick layers in the routed out areas so I'm guessing it weighs in on the heavy side. I would have put the 5150 in the headstock and left the raised numbers off of the body but I'm sure it looks better in person...
