i got the go ahead on the Ibanez RG2xxv 25th anniversary model. i want the Fluorescent pink. but i always liked yellow. these are equipped with the edge 2 and zero point setup. also my research has discovered it has the locking trem posts. awesome for floating bridge stability.
i am getting a break because i think here in eastern Canada the pink is moving too slow so there is a discount.

this isn't the premium model RG1xxv but rather the RG2xxv. still it has the goods and a friendlier price tag.

Mon i have to go to the store and see if i am in time for the deal they are offering, if so i am going pink.

Very cool...I like the pink strings and pink dot inlays too! black and pink looks very nice.

OK, now to complete things, you need a black, button-down shirt, a bright yellow tie, and a fluorescent green jacket.

I'd suggest pink picks, too, but really you should only tap on that guitar.

I'd all but forgotten those straps, with the locking mechanism built-in, but it really goes with the guitar.

i am hoping nothing goes wrong, they are having a 3 month no interest no payments deal. this would allow me 90 days to build up some savings bond money to beat the payments. i am not entirely sure if the deal is for stuff already in stock or if i can order the RG2xxv. IF for some reason it is only for store stock i have a backup plan. which is the super sweet Ibanez S420 in weathered black.

either way it means a new guitar. of course knowing me i may also see something new that changes my mind.
but the plan is the Fluorescent pink RG2xxv. and of course a quick click strap is mandatory.

i would like to make a wall mounted ( padded ) hanging unit with a black light for illumination.

I love those guitars, they are built to play right off the hanger! I just hate how thin the necks are and flat the radius is...

I remember seeing a wall of RG's around 89 or so and freaking out (in a good way)

well i am back from my trip to the candy store. they had no floor stock for the rg2xxv. i had also seen the s420 i previously pawed over 2 weeks ago admiring the round tones and full voice acoustically.

so decisions had to be made. i already knew how sweet the S series sounded and felt, and i was timid to order something sight unseen. bottom line i bought the Ibanez S420 with the ZR bridge and dual buckers in weathered black on mahogany.
all the RG series i tried with basswood were nice but there was more booty and body in the S series voice.
