Please visit this thread about one of the LDL members having her gear stolen and then found. Seems like there might be some kernels there for something in the magazine -- tips about recording serial numbers, info about how social media and online networks can help us help each other, etc.

Not to mention the power of social media in creating community -- the reason Nancy found her stolen gear was because another forum member spotted it at a local GC. Quick thinking and quick action saved the day.
