For all the tech heads in the joint, what size is the 9 VDC barrel connector on your common-or-garden AC adaptor for effects pedals? And, does anyone have a 10 VAC 500mA power adaptor that would work with an old DOD TR3M multi-effects pedal they'd part with cheap?

The most common PS plug size, often referred to as the "Boss style" since it's used on so many Boss pedals, is 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel-type.

Wish I could help ya with the 10 VAC 500mA PS! Is it center/pin-negative, or positive? I feel your pain, I recently had to shell out thirty bucks for a boring old replacement PS, myself... !

If that doesn't work out, you might try the adapter for the Whammy 4 - it's 9.75VAC, IIRC.

be careful, make sure the current (ma) is as high or higher than the device requires. them digitech pedals pretty much need what they need to be happy.

that said, 9.75 is close enough to 10v...the transformer should have the headroom to handle it.

when dealing with AC, there's no center positive or negative, as unlike dc it alternates back and forth, not flows in one direction.
