I happened to hear on the radio about recently legalized pot production in Colorado. [NOT trying to debate the morality of doing so, please!!]
It turns out that the plants by law are grown inside in a large warehouse by people who are very dedicated to their, say, "agricultural pursuits" LOL, and they all play music for the budding plants: "hard rock or classical, depending on what the grower says the plants like."
So, guys, if any of you have a green thumb, what kind of music do YOUR plants like?
In my house, I am very inconsiderate of our plants' musical tastes.. and only listen to what I like, since I pay the rent there, not the plants! Doesn't seem to hurt them.....

I admit to being inconsiderate of the wife's indoor plants when I fire up the guitar (it's not that loud but she thinks it is)...I have heard that some green thumbs talk to their plants and play classical music in the greenhouse. I'm not sold on the concept...I think the gardening techniques do more for the plants than anything else. IMHO.

I vote for gardening techniques, too. I suppose other factors might have SOME effect.
Re: talking to plants - I know people talk to their animals, but what would you say to a plant?

As far as playing music to weed? Given the rep, you gotta try Grateful Dead. But I don't subscribe to the belief either. Same with that idea of playing Mozart and Beethoven to developing fetus's. A buddy of mine and his wife tried that. Kid was the worst behaved brat I've ever seen, and grew up joining one of them growling, Goth death metal bands.
