Great title and great music: "Born To Sing, No Plan B" I call it a recording because calling it an album might give you the impression I'm old, calling it a CD would mean I'm old and out of date! Heh, I'm both but Mrs. Lefty gave me an iPod (serious!) for my 113th birthday and I dig it man, it's like far out groooovy. I actually downloaded this recording. One small step for Lefty...

I always like it when some of the "Old Boys" are still releasing new material. Love it more when some kids young enough to be my grandkids wind up LIKING it!

I'm not a big VM fan but heard one cut from this on a local FM station (yes, radio - WNKU from Northern KY U.) and loved it. If nothing else it's a great LP/CD title.

In all honesty, I like Van Morrison's earlier stuff (Moondance is a "must have" album), but I didn't care for his new stuff at all. The music itself was very "done in my home studio" feeling and none of the tracks particularly caught my ear. However, maybe it will grow on me, given some more time.

+1 For the most part, I like his older stuff better...same with Santana.

Santana prefers Van Morrison's older stuff, too?

Smooth is to Carlos like Too Long in Exile is to Van...they were both much better in their early days (ie. Black Magic Woman and Moondance) but are bound to come up with a hit now and then in their later stuff. I think Carlos has brought more young'ens into his audience than Van has...but I give them both credit for still being out there with a whole lot of talent. Maybe Carlos can get Van to sing one of his songs someday?
