Praying for you Doc.
The master of flat-pickin. Saw him and Vassar Clements jammin in a little music store back in the mid 70s.
Unbelievable.

Hang in there Doc.

I have been a Doc Watson fan since 1964 when I first heard his music. Not only is Doc a great flat picker, he also excels at fingerpicking. He can get more done with a Thumb and one finger than most fingerpickers can with a thumb and two.

Although I haven't focused on that style in a very long time, I still enjoy playing Windy and Warm and Sittin' on Top of the World

I wish him well.

Also praying for Doc, and also a fan! My picking hand is PRETTY good, but guys like him and Tony Rice are masters!
But none of that matters right now, only that he should get well soon!

I saw Doc and Merle (his late son) in a little club in Denver back in the 70's. The flat pickin I saw that night was just astounding. Those two guys sure could play.

Best Wishes Doc, I hope it all works out well.
