Yesterday, during a discussion about cleaning up a place that had water backed up, the term "human sewage" was mentioned. I wrote it down immediately, and showed it to my drummer friend, who was sitting next to me. I told him this has the potential for a song idea, either a song title, or at least part of some song lyrics. Since I don't think either one of us is ever going to seriously use this idea, I'm throwing it out to anyone here. Can you do something with the term human sewage? There's just something about those two words together that conjures up all sorts of unusual images.

Thirty years ago, I might have thought that was a good name for a local band.

It still is a good name for a band. And it's available.

I think it`s a fine idea, good internal alliteration.
But it suggests heavier sonic territory than I usually travel in.

Ok, I just gotta relate this story--One time, a friend's house had sewage backed up in his basement. His wife told me that as he was cleaning up, he shouted up the stairs, "The people in this town eat entirely too much corn!!!!"

You could also do a song abt our "litigious society"
(a subject that pops up often,
esp with TV journalist John Stossel)
& call it "Human Sue Age"

Potential elements:
[1] sample(s) from George Hari's Son's "Sue Me Sue You Blues"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2JIexhpMNs

[2] texts/quotes from various legal disclaimer labels attached to retail products

[3] general commentary abt the whole subject, incl. historical context

[4] video imagery, b/c ya gotta have a vid, too

A couple of ideas while I was bike riding today:

"As I swim out of the human sewage of my past..."

"Wading through the human sewage of the new revolution"

human sewage
f*cking up my head
ancient druids
underneath my bed
lost in rue-age
at all the words she said
human sewage
it won't stay dead

politicians
lawyers preachers too
human sewage
there's nothing you can do
cornfed losers
overflowing filth
human sewage
it's mankind's final will

bubbling custard
leaching from the ground
stench of putrid
can't ya taste the sound of

human sewage
rotten to the core
human sewage
spilling to the floor

ok...lame, i know, but wtf...lol

Thanks for sharing this idea. But as you are also a music lover think over it and will definitely get to some conclusion. You can even use it as last message line in the song. smile

I don't know, brother - remember, there'll be costumes and a dance routine to go with it - maybe have David Lynch produce the video?

You could use Jimi's lyrics, or do like Dylan or Zeppelin;

Use it as a song title, then make the song about something else!
Whitefang

This could be a band name, or a song/album title:

A Thumble of Runder

Litigious society? Yes, it's unbelievable how paranoid this society has become! Guilty until proven innocent seems to be the mantra!
Luckily, so far at least, you can't be sued for bad guitar playing, LOL!
