Unforgettable, saw a similar clip years ago in my youth but he acted wilder in it. It kind of scared me, I must have felt JLL was some kind of maniac. A cultural anthropologist could have a field day with that. All that drama over the idea of "shake it baby". The tv censors might have felt pretty uneasy about it, there is something sinister almost cult like about it.

When I was 5 this was awesome stuff. When I was 8 I played piano for the youth Sunday School Service before we broke off and went into classrooms. They segregated the kids and we had a seperate service where we sang childrens church songs.

I played this once. Man I got whooping. It seems the wall seperating the two sancutaries was not big enough. LOL

We learned this stuff the day the records came out! My very good friend (whom I know ever since cub scouts, and still today, even though we finally got out of cub scouts) had a baby grand and we'd get the record and play until we had the song down. Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, Little Richard, on and on. Incidentally, I have it on good authority that Jerry Lee is still a maniac.

I saw Chuck Berry in 1986. Friends of mine were his backup band. Chuck just toured by himself in his motor home. The PA had a serious. Found out after the show a cheap Radio Shack Y splitter was the problem the huge *** PA did work.

You could not hear Chuck. People got mad and started to yell Turn it Up Chuck. ..... hmmmmm!. Everyone started chanted Up Chuck!, Up Chuck!, Up Chuck!, Up Chuck!, Up Chuck!

Man that was funny, unless you are Chuck. The whole show was brought down by a cheap gray Radio Shack Y Splitter.

My wife and I had the miss fortune of meeting JLL in the bar after his terrible performance in Indianapolis quite a few years ago. We found him to be the most arrogant. self opinionated turd on the planet. His driver showed up to pour him into his limo, just before he and I came to blows over the way that he spoke to my wife. She had been a fan of his many years prior. After he left, the bartender told me that his was sad that I did not "plant the little pr*ck" He stated that he had been obnoxious all evening. When we arrived home, my wife dug out all of records and tapes of him and threw them in the trash.

His last album was called Mean Old Man. Seems that it may be very appropiate title.
