I picked up the new CD today. And I must say, I enjoy it.

I also picked up a pair of tickets!

Eddie always impressed me as a unique player and he still is. Glad to see him looking healthy. ;~)

Nice.

Guess when you're 57 you can sit down for part of the solo. (ha!)

I remember seeing a BB King concert about 10 years ago. He walked out, said something like, "I've been doing this long enough, I'm just going to sit down." and then played the whole show from his seat.

I saw BB last year and thought, "I love you, BB... but, you really need to retire."

More than chops, Eddie always had a musicality, a sense of melody and timing and dramatic flair. At his best, he was just sharing things he enjoyed enthusiastically and wholeheartedly, with a grinning, "who, ME?" perspective instead of sneering conceit and arrogance.
