Is the Los Angeles event scheduled? I would like to book a flight and hotel early and set aside vacation time, need know the dates ASAP!
Awesome beyond belief in 2010, my son and I are both bassists, we had a gas! If you can, you must go in 2011, you won't be sorry.

It sure is! It'll be the weekend of October 22-23. In fact we have a meeting scheduled tomorrow to plan our clinic schedule. We're taking requests!

Hope to see you (and your son) there!

What's the word on a possible return of the event to the right coast?

Peace.

Willie -- We started planning a 1-day event for this summer, but just couldn't find the right venue for it. If we were to come back (and we definitely hope to in 2012), where should we do it?

Fair enough question. Venue for the exposition or venue for a show or both?

I can put my mind to it in the meantime.

Peace.

I think it'd be better to have it all in one place, but we're open to doing it a la carte, as well....

I have no idea what the rates would be like, but one thought for a one-day event might be the Brooklyn Academy of Music (aka, BAM): http://www.bam.org/.

Many NYC area musos live in Brooklyn and BAM is easily accessible from the Atlantic station which serves several subway lines.

Peace.

How about putting it in the center of the country, ie, Kansas City? That way, everybody is inconvenienced equally. Well, except for me and the other KC bass players... cool

Always remember that youre unique. Just like everyone else.

No way, Picker!
The venue in L.A. is packed every year.
My suggestion is...have one in the midwest as well! You guys and gals out there deserve one too, you would absolutely love it. I tell every low-ender I know to go there...even non-bassists would have enjoyed last years event. Just attending the clinics gave us some very cool opportunities to see amazing performances by some great artists. Alex Al brought the George Lopez show band and Matt Garrison was his own show with only himself and his "DJ". Good Luck!
