Hi guys, glad to be here! I play and teach blues, jazz, rock, country, etc and I also run marathons. Strange combination? Probably. I am on a lot of forums, but can honestly not understand why I never joined here before... Musically, I love all sorts of music. Some of my heroes - Hendrix, Scofield, Prince, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Scott Henderson, Robben Ford, Bill Frisell, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, Angus Young. And so on, the list never ends! Cheers from Alberta, Canada!

Welcome to the forum double R, pleased to meet you. I've been in and out of a few other forums but find that this one is the one and only that I hang out at day to day. Lots of great players here and my #1 source for help. L.B.

Welcome to the board. I think you forgot to mention the guitar player from The Tragically Hip. It is my understanding that everybody from Canada is required to love this band. I base this upon the lead singer in the band I'm in who is from Windsor.

Hey, what happened to the old guy from Alberta, Canada that we had? What's wrong with him? Why do we need a replacement? Just razzin' ya, Rob, welcome to the GPF! Great list of admirable players you cite there. It's good to listen to and appreciate a wide variety of music!

Hey new guy from Alberta, this is new guy from Saskatchewan. I love the blues, classic rock and new rock. Just picked up new KISS cd, always loved Ace but Tommy does a pretty good job recreating Ace's locks on KISS Klassicks.

Was just in Calgary three weeks ago. Loved it! Didn't make it to the French Maid, but has certainly been added to the next itinerary!
I'm not sure what it says about Calgary (or you) that not going to the French Maid was the only comment you can make. Jamie

Hi, guy from Alberta, When I was in the 2nd & 3rd grade, I lived on Selfridge Air Force Base in Mt Clemens, Michigan, just across Lake St Clair from Ontario. Never got to go across the border for some reason. These days, at the ripe (overripe?) old age of 56, I live in the Kansas City metro area
It's good to have another guy who appreciates the blues on board. Here in the KC, play in a blues band called Knock Kneed Sally.

I'm not sure what it says about Calgary (or you) that not going to the French Maid was the only comment you can make. Jamie Apparently, it's famous... That's all I heard about the whole time I was there! I did go to the Olympic park to zipline and drove around the lake and Banf... The French Maid is way more rock n roll...
