Regarding the "Yanks leave Sox in 'aughts' dust" article: who cares? That's not directed at you, Geoff, but at the author. When they start handing out a trophy for "team of the decade," maybe it'll matter.

Indeed. Even as a Yankees fan, I think that down 0-3 in the ALCS, rattling off 8 in a row to win the Series has to be one of the greatest sports stories of our generation, and the managerial job Francona did in those 8 games was brilliant. There's a real rivalry now, one that actually involves winning the World Series (and Boston denying NY in the process), and that's the best part about the 'aughts' from my perspective.
