I'm selling my Voce V3 and Midi Drawbar controller together on Ebay. It has the 'hot-rodded percussion' modification done to it, which bumps up the percussion level--for the better. The V3, if you're unfamiliar, has a built-in Leslie simulator with many tweakable parameters. This unit sounds *very* nice (read: authentic in its drawbar tones; --read the user reviews on Harmony Central to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Its offshoot, the miniaturized albeit Leslie effect-less version called the V5 won Keyboard Mag's B3 Clone shootout in 1999 in the 'Authenticity' and 'Balls' categories) running straight from the effects out into a preamp pedal then into a real Leslie. It has a Leslie Model 122, 6-pin out but I've never used that since I only own a Leslie 147. I've used the internal Leslie and it sounds nice though admittedly there's better stuff out today e.g. Nord, Hammond-Suzuki, as would be expected with technology marching on. It's very capable of getting a lot of Hammond/Leslie rig sounds within a rack-mount set up (b.y.o. Midi controller).
If you want Jon Lord tones, throw on the C3 effect and run into a distortion pedal. With that scenario I've found it sounds even one notch better into a tube combo amp--I've played it with a small Carvin amp with impressive results. If you're trying to keep up with a typical guitar player.. with a 50 watt plus rig/s, of course you'd want to get a bigger amp or run into the P.A. in order to be heard. Sorry for the lengthy post but I'm passionate about the gear I play/have played.
