I encountered the charity Guitars for Vets at the Arlington Guitar Show a couple of weeks ago. They look to be pretty cool- they get instruments (usually guitars) into the hands of Veterans who are in need of a pick-me-up- mostly working with guys & gals with PTSD.

So I thought I'd share.

Now that is something I could get behind. We have a big VA hospital here in KC, and I know a lot of folks at the local music stores. I emailed them to find out if they would be setting up a chapter here anytime soon.

I volunteer one night a week at the VA hospital here in Cincy, thanks for posting this. I have one if not two guitars I bought when I was just "re-learning" to play and they'd be better off in somebody else's hands who'd use them.

Thanks for posting this info DannyA....I'll make sure the word gets out as I'm an active VFW Lifetime Member and currently serving as a Post Commander...thanks to you guys that volunteer your services and take an interest in helping Vets...Don't forget to include the troops serving in Iraq & Afghanistan when you say grace or do a toast at Thanksgiving...take care, Larryz
