Hey, welcome to the Guitar Player Forum, Mokafix!

I see that you've been hangin' over on the Keyboard Magazine Forums prior to this, and that you dig classic/vintage keyboards and their sounds. When I saw the Derek Trucks Band in concert, their keyboard player sounded sooo good!! I love that kind of stuff.

So, just curious- whatcha got going on there? What sort of Beta testing do you need done, and what sort of guitar players do you want to do it for ya?

Hi guys.

Sorry for being so late here.

Last week has been busy with that instrument release. But I can't talk about what I release on this forum as I understood it wink

So As I said, I am testing some VST guitar effects and was looking for some testers. i just removed my message when i realised no promotion was allowed here.
Anyway.

The Effects are a fuzz pedal, a sansamp emulation and a fender blender emulation.

The Fuzz pedal is of the fuzzface kind. What it does that other vsts don't (AFAIK) is that it biases a lot, like a fuzzface as I understood it.
The blender... well, you know how it sounds like, some like it some hate it wink

And the sansamp that doesn't need to be introduced i guess.

So if you are interested in testing it, you can still write me at mokafix at gmail got com

cheers, and thanks for the replies.

Efflam

Those sound quite interesting, particularly the bias-able (if I understand you correctly) virtual-fuzz and SansAmp impersonation; I'd imagine that feeding that fuzz into the amp emulation would yield interesting results.

If I had a decent computer with room for more stuff on its hard-drive (I'm currently trying to have less!), I'd be PM-ing you about that offer right away. As it stands, though, I have to pass. Thanks, sorry!

Sure ya can! It's all in how you go about it, and not being the only thing you ever talk about. (And it's probably best kept to guitar/music related subjects.) A number of GPF regulars have their own product lines, and post info, pics, clips, and ask for opinions about 'em, and we're happy to talk shop with 'em. A couple of good examples would be Dave Wendler and Boggs. If in doubt, just ask. thu I'm sure that the Moderators will agree with me here.

Within reason and taste, links to private business can be automatically displayed in the "Signature" portion of posts; refer to your "My Profile" 'page for the MP Forums here.

Hey , thanks for your interest wink

Yes, auto-biasing is something pretty interesting.

Technically it does what is described on That eBook.
Usually a digital clipper (a fuzz can be described as a clipper) biases not much and less and less when input gain increases.
A real fuzz biases more an more, because of internal feedback circuitry.
It happens by itself and was probably not intended by the designer of the fuzzface, but doing this with software is not really straightforward.

When you feed it with a sine, it produces a narrow pulse instead of a square, so it sounds pretty different. The difference is more subtle with guitar, but experienced players should hear it anyway. And it enhances the dynamic range.

The sansamp does not bias like that, but it is still something simple and fun to play.

And the blender does its weird stuff to the sound. It does benefit a lot from auto-biasing.
Actually auto-bias is a "sine qua non" condition for a blender, otherwise it would act like rectifying a square = continuous DC = no sound.

The fuzz and sansamp are already pretty close to release, but I had no much feedback on the blender, so if someone here use PC vsts, know fender blenders, do not hate them and want to give it a try...
