Hey , thanks for your interest

Yes, auto-biasing is something pretty interesting.
Technically it does what is described on
That eBook.
Usually a digital clipper (a fuzz can be described as a clipper) biases not much and less and less when input gain increases.
A real fuzz biases more an more, because of internal feedback circuitry.
It happens by itself and was probably not intended by the designer of the fuzzface, but doing this with software is not really straightforward.
When you feed it with a sine, it produces a narrow pulse instead of a square, so it sounds pretty different. The difference is more subtle with guitar, but experienced players should hear it anyway. And it enhances the dynamic range.
The sansamp does not bias like that, but it is still something simple and fun to play.
And the blender does its weird stuff to the sound. It does benefit a lot from auto-biasing.
Actually auto-bias is a "sine qua non" condition for a blender, otherwise it would act like rectifying a square = continuous DC = no sound.
The fuzz and sansamp are already pretty close to release, but I had no much feedback on the blender, so if someone here use PC vsts, know fender blenders, do not hate them and want to give it a try...
