Being in a band isn't necessarily a seasonal thing.
Sure, summertime usually seems to have the most live shows (as well as around the holidays, of course) for gigging bands. However, depending on what kind of band you're in, Fall and Spring can be your best time to do things like write new music, or record demos/albums.
Another thing that's good to do when gigs slow down a bit: tweak your sound system! This is something you don't want to be doing the morning of a big show, for all the obvious reasons. But if your band is on a short hiatus from gigs, it's a great time to go in and make sure your stuff is functioning at its best, or to swap out gear for better options.
What's your band's plans this Fall?

Fall is actually the busiest time of the year for the clubs. Around here, summer is slow because a lot of people go to Lake of the Ozarks for the weekend. We play every weekend year round, so it's not like we have time off, but the crowds are biggest Oct-Dec for sure. The only thing we get more of in the summer is festival gigs.
