The next range of Denon players will be fully universal, and Oppo have also promised universals.
For SACD/DVDA content, things are more difficult on a fileserver as there are no SACD drives available & it is dropped from most PS3. What you can do though is grab the DTS-HD MAS system. Then you can rip your DVDA straight to WAV files, and then re-encode to DTS-HD MAS (Lossless) and play those suckers right off the desktop complete with a video should you choose to. Watermarks get ignored.
SACD has to be recorded back to PCM, and heavily filtered to lose the ultrasonic crap that reduces dynamic range to less than DTS 96/24 - a lot less. We are talking SACD at around 60dB to 70dB of dynamic range max against 100+dB from DTS 96/24, and (best case so far) around 120dB on DVDA which is still the technically superior format of the 2 by a long way.
