I upgraded my Aerodyne J bass with quarter pound basslines. I am not digging the sound and don't have the originals anymore. I don't know where I put them.

Anyway, any one want to do a 1 for 1 trade? Meaning my pickup for your pickup.

4 string pups?

I'd love to try them in my fretless Epi Rockbass (assuming they're JJ) but I'm affraid the stock pups wouldn't hold their own in a straight trade.

Sorry for the confusion, they are 4 string pups in a PJ combination.

They are too hot for my set up. The P pup is super hot. I think if I had a regular P pup with the J quarter lber in, it would be great.

I swapped them in an anemic sounding SX bass, and I agree with the above statement.

The tone has a nice low mid presence, great for the hard rock stuff that the kids play these days wink

Is your setup passive or active?

I've got some extra P-Bass pickups lying around if you'd like to just swap the ones you have for some 'plain' (not hot) PUs.
