Hi Just wanted to introduce myself.
Although I always loved the Bass, Due to Life's circumstances I didn't begin playing until about a year ago (at 46).
Greatest influences were Late 60's and 70's bassists. Jack Bruce, John Paul Jones, The OX, Geddy Dave Hope etc. list goes on and on.
Originally I only wanted to play for own enjoyment but starting to get the itch.
If you don't see many posts from me that's normal, I prefer to see what others say, and only post if I have something important to say that hasn't already been stated.
Any way look forward to getting to know you guys, spend more time practicing then posting. (yeah right)

Welcome!  Yeah compared to some of us you're still a yougun. (I'm 51) Jack Bruce, JPJ, the Ox, etc. are some good influences. One of the coolest things about this forum is that I have learned about quite a few bass players that I've never heard of before that don't get the same media coverage as a Jones or Geddy Lee. There are some really knowledgeable folks here of various ages and skill levels. The one thing we have in common though is a passion for the bass and all things in the groove. So stick around.

Yes I own both, The sound is great (Gives me incentive to get better) The pic is my 86 pursuader. Cool. What are the controls on a Persuader? volume/pan/filter?
