Hi all. Been a while since I posted.

I wondering if anyone can shed some light on something. I'm the proud owner of a PRS CE22, and I absolutely love it. I was thinking about getting a second one, but when I looked online, it looks like PRS stopped making them... the CE page on the PRS website is there, but hidden; it's not featured in the list under products (I found the page via google). Moreover, none of the online retailers is selling a new one.

Anyone got the scoop on what happened here? PRS seems to be without a mid-price-range guitar these days.

I think that Mr. Smith has a marked preference for set-neck designs over bolt-on; aren't all of the PRS SE models set-neck guitars? And the offshore-made SE series also has likely surpassed the CE models for a profitable lower price-point line- the SE's probably have both lower retail-prices and a higher profit-margins. And- nothing against your CE- but I believe that most folks think of a set-neck when they think of PRS.

I emailed PRS, and the reply was "[t]he CE models were discontinued at the beginning of 2009." Unsurprisingly, the representative suggested I look into the Mira and Starla models.

Both are slightly more retro-looking than I dig these days, but I did try the Mira given the double cut. This was for about ten minutes in GC. The guitar felt great; good physical resonance, but I don't feel like I should comment on any other specifics. However, my initial opinion is very positive.

That's cool; but if another CE22 is what you really want, why not look for a good used one? With a little patience, you aught to be able to find one in good shape.
