Hi everyone!,
I'm new to the forum but a long time reader of GP and of course long time playing guitar. Right now I won't post anything of my music but my friend's music...He is known as El Pajjaro and just put out a new cd which I'm promoting..check the link on my signature and hope you enjoy. Let me know if you care too please.
Gracias, later

I recommend every song but start with the song called Cereal con Miel and also check the video where you can see Pajjaro playing his creation (The Pajjarofono) along his great guitar playing.

The song must be dedicated with more passion. It makes others to tune to some of the website.

James, I thought your playing was nice. The groove in particular was spot on. I can't say I can always follow some of the "out there" harmonies of this type of music but it seems your playing is pretty sophisticated. That type of music isn't for everyone, but I really respect players that can do what you are doing.
Don't be put off by Dr Ellwood, sometimes he can be a bit narrow minded when it comes to musical styles.

Welcome aboard. Stick around and get to know the dudes.
Your technique is very good. I wish I could have heard the backing track better, I can't tell if what your playing is with it beyond the beat. I think I hear a bit of Pat Martino in there, which is okay. It does seem a tad repetitive, but a lot of technique-oriented playing does. Not really my cup of tea, but not bad, really. Probably get better with mileage.

Nice working of the fretboard. I also found the backing track a shade quiet. I notice that you always keep your thumb behind the neck, except for the upper register, which hints at some schooling. I was reminded slightly of Zappa with certain arpeggiations you did. I'd say that for a young player you're well on your way.
New members are asked to post their music in a different thread, so I'll ask you to relocate this post to the POST YOUR MUSIC HERE thread, 2nd from the top of the page.

Hey nice lines and stuff you're playing there! Personally, I think a long solo like that could really use some interludes that feature lyrical bends for a good while, no extended 16th note passages, then when you go back to the lines they'll have a ton of impact, and the solo will have an ebb and flow that keeps the listeners attention. Sounds to me like this would require practicing really getting inside the note with your bends, and making them as much a practicing focus as your runs. You're a dang good player for your age man!

Shameless.
I completely dug it, I say "the more out the better." I'm assuming that had this been an actual solo in the middle of a song you might have backed off on the wheedely-wheedly (I don't mean that in a bad way!) and played some more lyrical phrases. I'm also assuming you were playing thru a littl eprasctice amp, which would account for a certain lack of complexity in the tone.
Let me know when you turn 21, boy. I've got a band I want to put you in.
