The PC1SE uses a 76 note version of the Fatar TP30 piano weighted action. It is the only 76 note board we've ever released that uses a fully weighted action and not the semi-weighted Fatar TP8 that's used in the 76 note version of the PC3, PC2 and K26.
The PC1 and PC1SE are the only Kurzweil products that used this action. It is much heavier than the 76 note TP8 action in the PC3.
The main difference between the TP30 and our other weighted actions is that it does not have release springs, so the keys come up a bit more slowly than on actions like the TP10mdf (used in the K2600x and PC2x) or TP40L (Used in the PC3x). As I've said elsewhere on the forum, I'm not crazy about the TP30 because of that - but lots of people really enjoy it.
I did start to get used to it when I was spending a ton of hours creating the velocity maps for it. Once I got back to playing my PC2x I felt like I had been swinging with 2 bats as they say.
