I own an Egnater Rebel 20, and am thinking about purchasing a Digitech RP 1000. Since the Rebel effects loop is designed for line-level effects, does anyone know if the signal from the Rebel's effect send will be too "hot" for the amp loop in the RP1000?

Should be fine.

I have the RP1000 (I LOVE IT) and have used it with my Rivera Fandango using the four cable method. I have not had any problems what so ever. My amp can handle either instrument or line level and I have used it both ways successfully. My amp does have send and return level controls, but I always have them set at unity.

My RP1000 manual shows the following specs for the amp loop:

Amp Loop Input
Impedance - 16K Ohms
Maximum Input Signal - 8 dBu

Amp Loop Output
Impedance - 600 Ohms unbalanced/1.2K Ohms balanced
Maximum Output Signal - 8 dBu

Thanks, Bluesape & GuitarPlayerFL,
I had found the amp loop data on the RP1000, also. Wish I could find similar data on the Egnater effects loop. But, based on your experience, it sounds like the line level signal from the Egnater shouldn't be a problem.

Does anyone else have experience with this?

Received an email from Digitech's tech support saying that "The Egnater should work very well with the RP1000", so I pulled the trigger and placed the order. Nice to have some technical support even before I became a customer.

Congratulations. thu

I had a few questions about the XLR outs and emailed Tech Support. Five hours later all were answered in my inbox.

The Digitech RP1000 Forum at their website is good, but the Digitech forum at The Stompbox is maybe a little better.

I have the Egnater Rebel 20 and a Boss ME50 and it works with no problems.

Most all amps with effects loops and effects processors have a typical 1-watt output, which correct me if I'm wrong, is your typical audio output wattage and that is the standard that most all mfg's adhere by.

Enjoy your new gear. rawk smile
