hey guys. i'm about to start building my bass traps for my room. i was going to use ethan's bass trap design at this link...

can i use this design if i want to mount across the corner of a room? wouldn't i need to seal the back of it with some plywood? is there a better design for this application? the superchunk design would be too expensive. thanks everyone.

ps - don't kill me if this exact question has already been addressed. just kindly send me a link smile

Wood panel bass traps are not meant to be spaced off a wall or mounted straddling a corner. As shown in the article, to treat a corner you use two traps adjacent, each flat on one wall.

I'll also mention that mineral wool traps cost much less than building wood panel traps. If cost is a concern, use mineral wool four inches thick straddling as many corners as you can manage.
