Are the Auralex Mo Pads a must have for monitor isolation or can other materials be used ? Is monitor isolation even needed?

All speakers do not need to be isolated. My standard advice is to invite two friends to visit, and have each person lift one speaker 1/4 inch while you listen. If you hear no difference, then you won't benefit from speaker isolation.

Thanks Ethan, I was told I'd get better bass response by isolating my monitors from their stand.
