I was bummed to find out that my May issue of Keyboard magazine ended at page 40, and the contents page showed I was missing about 25 pages. What happened?

If you noticed in the editors column, it sounded like everyone was leaving Keyboard Mag. I think they ran out of money on page 40.

Thanks for calling this to my attention. This is the first I've heard about it, as every sample we have here from various print runs is normal. You're talking about the issue with Depeche Mode on the cover, right?

So on pagee 40, there's the Play It lesson for "Just Can't Get Enough." You're saying that after that, there's just the back cover? Blank pages?

If you can provide me some details on this I'll be more than happy to get to the bottom of this.

It is the Depeche Mode issue (May). It just ends on page 40, then there's the back cover. There are no blank pages. it seems to be properly bound, but just cut off too short. I called the subscription number in the front of the mag and they sent me another with all the pages...

Hi Pete,

I talked to our production department, and this looks like one of those once-in-a-blue-moon issues that can happen when binding a magazine after it's been printed. The magazine is printed in two or more chunks, and it just so happened that the first chunk of May ended on page 40. It's embarrassing for us, certainly, but we've brought it to our printer's attention and it shouldn't happen again.
