Sorry, baby; that's hogwash. The second pin keeps the bass from falling over when you set it down. whistle

Much more important: the brass nut is pretty stinkin' fat, and appears to have a pair of set screws much like the Warwick Adjustable Nut. Is it such a beast????

IMHO, a very sexy bass.
