I have read the last issue (Phil Lesh) a couple of times and never noticed the Homework section in the Woodshed. I hope it didn't go away--John Herrera's Homework section always had some really neat things to think about that weren't your typical "same old same old" progression of ideas. My brain benefited from it in a different way than it did from other parts of the 'Shed.

I never sent my "results" back in even if it was implied that readers could, and I'm sure many people also were like me--just practicing at home without bothering to send JH our notes, when that was part of the deal. I hope that didn't cause anyone to think no one was paying attention, because I certainly was.

I'll bet since Jonathan is now the editor, he is probably too strapped to come up with a homework section.

On the other hand, there may not have been enough room in that issue. It's happened before, I think.

I hope so. He had great ideas.

Glad you like homework. Not only because I wrote it, but because it was probably my favorite thing to write...I increasingly felt less-and-less constrained to do the typical pedagogical stuff there; I mostly wanted to talk about musical ideas that were interesting to me, whether or not they had much to do with bass explicitly.

Alas, Chewbubba is right. It's not gone officially, just REALLY hard to find time for at the moment. I'll bring it back, though. It was too fun not to.
