guys, i went to berklee for a bit for Jazz Piano and am now in LA looking to find a blues/roots rock piano teacher to study with. i find that there are a lot of jazzers or classical guys, but hard to find the bluesy/roots rock teacher, in the vain of chuck leavell, leon russell, bill payne, reese wynans.

anybody have any suggestions? i guess with skype, you can take lessons with anyone anywhere now.

just looking for feedback and help. thanks!

Also, try looking up Terry Trotter, from whom I took a few lessons when I lived in SoCal. His regular gig when I took lessons from him was as Natalie Cole's MD and pianist, and his mastery of the two-fisted, Richard Tee-style, gospel rock idiom is second to none.
