Hey Band,

I need advice on one thing, recently my band has gone from getting along just great and being nobody to being someone good in our hometown but behind the scenes is arguement after arguement....i used to be incharge of getting the gigs and doing promotion for my band, it worked perfectly fine got us to where we are now, but then all of a sudden our guitarist who started the band decided he wanted to play boss and do everything and point fingers...i wasn't goin to argue and handed him my info. But now, anytime something goes wrong he blames it on the vocalists and threatens that if something goes wrong again (for example sound check) he will kick people out starting with vocals........................... OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......... sorry im going to sound cocky here, but if it wasn't for all my work in finding promoters in the area and booking our shows, i think, this band would be stuck in a garage still...am i wrong?? ....................... so anyhow i dont know wat to do im tired of his b*** and i jst want outs right now, what should i do???? stick around and deal with it, ive tried talking to him and it wont work..or LEAVE????

Please HeLP!!

Either fire him or walk.

There are certain people who can't handle success and become major a-holes as soon as they're exposed to it.

Better to get out now than wait until you've blown big favors to get further along.

Well the thing is the first two guys who started the band with him are ALWAYS on his side, regardess if he is wrong. So Its 2 against 3 and I wouldn't be able to fire him.....I guess what is holding me back from leaving is the sucess we are having that ive fkn worked hard for!!!! and starting from zero scares the shit outta me honestly lol...i mean i see the band its like, MAN i did almost everything to get here and now by one a-hole im gonna let it be ruined?? ughhhh i think im going to stick around , but im sure i will eventually get tired and leave its just so complicated =/

Cut it loose, man. You're obviously the one with the ability to get bookings done. Starting from zero is something you'll have to do many times in your life.

I spent two years with a band where, if I'd been paying attention, I would have seen the writing on the wall a year before, and saved the trouble.
