Some friends and I are going to rent a house for our "home" recording studio.
There are a couple of setup options.

Option A is an L shaped floor plan. The upper left "leg" of the L is 6ft tall and 11ft wide. The bottom horizontal run of the L is a total of 18ft 6in long and 10ft 6in tall. Separate from this area to the right of the bottom run would be the control room.

Option B is rectangular. The control room would be where the upper left "leg" of option A is and the lower run would be 25ft 6in long and 10ft 6in wide.

Each option yields 1845 cubic feet in the recording room.

Question: Does the L shape cause problems? Or should i just go with the rectangle.

An L shape is okay, but a rectangle is better if all else is equal. A longer length front to back is valuable, so that's Option B, yes?
