Lee, if I was single I'd offer you to stay at mine. But I can't see the missus going for it. I'll have a google tomorrow for some cheap places near me in Kings Cross or in the vicinity of Soho. Not a cheap place to stay, sadly.

I was not expecting you to offer, Phil. :-) The mood I am in, I will likely have a few... I would not likely have accepted, nobody needs a drunk dude rolling up at their flat at 3am... And I would not particularly like having to get up early after a late night out! I had a quick look around, looks fairly pricey. But will keep my eye open.

That could sound bad! I don't mean to say I would get completely muntered at your gig, though Phil. That is not my style ;\)

The Youth Hostel near Euston is about £20 a night including breakfast. That's on my way home.

Don't know much about it though.

This site looks good or budget accommodation.

Soho attracts premium prices so I'd suggest somewhere on my journey home in the Euston or Kings Cross areas.

We're learning this. It's one of the singer's.

Luckily it's both quite easy and I can see the singer/guitarist's hands to see what chords she is playing.

When I was down there they used to put me up at the Royal Stewart Hotel. Can't find it now, so must have changed its name - it wasn't far from King's Cross Station, near the Faringdon Road.

I do remember that name but not which one it was. There are some chains on Farringdon Raid: Travelodge, Holiday Inn etc. One of them took over the Royal Stewart - the Travelodge I think.

There's a brand spanking new Premier in near my house:
http://www.londontown.com/LondonHotel/HOT/Premier_Inn_King%27s_Cross
but I think that'd be too pricey to stay for just a few hours.

This b and b looks reasonable - but not the least expensive.

Some of the ones behind (South of) Kings Cross are still a bit dodgy but the area is improving all the time.

I've made an enquiry at the Jesmond, cheers Phil. I don't mind dropping a bit on a room, could do with the night out.

I've just run Philly to Birmingham Airport to fly to Oz to see her twin grandchildren (boy & girl).

I'm off up to Scotland tomorrow for a week. Internet access is intermittent.

Man, I am really happy you might come down. Maybe we can go eat something before the gig if you make it.

Cool I look forward to checking it out when I get home. Hopefully it is not toooo shakey :-) Especially near the end where the blood had drained from my arms form holding the camera up high.

No, if anything it gets better as it goes. At the start there are too many punters moving about. Thanks a lot Lee, Maciek has already put the vids on the band MySpace and is pretty chuffed to have a video of the band in action!

Was good to see you again, Phil! Thanks for the mini tour! Had a good night, couple of people tried to (unsuccessfully) teach me how to Salsa lol My legs are knackered this morning. Might go back to bed :-)

Oh and Susana's set was great, and the cuban band were outstanding! Great rhythm section and an awesome trumpet player! Cuban's know how to groove!

Sounds like a bunch of fun Lee!

You dancing again!?

Was a bald guy called Ami Rothenburg on drums with Susana?
I've jammed with him a few times, he's great.
