That's ok JC. I listened to his stuff and He's playing all the parts on a bass so while he's playing lead bass or rhythm bass or percussion bass you can play bass.

Or I could play lead bass, rhythm bass or percussion bass. I've done that before.

Why aren't you working at work.......? LOL! I would post more but I can't at work anymore.....not much for me to do over the winter. Too bad I couldn't be blatantly lazy and bring in my bass and practice in a quiet corner. I'd be a heck of a lot better after a few months. I probably could get away with it but that is a whole different story.

Apparently things get really slow here in recruiting during this season...

I am: a bored bassist/vocalist with an abandoned solo project (www.fourstringriot.com) who's gotten used to having a certain amount of free reign over the sonic spectrum. Would like to jam around and maybe put something together, but not interested in going back to playing root notes for some asshole with a guitar and a Rat pedal. Specializing in groove-oriented rock music--no wanking about in odd time signatures, no acoustic singer-songwriter bullshit, no jazz odyssey.

You are: another musician who's interested in stretching what your instrument is "supposed" to do in rock music--turntables? keys? unconventional percussionist? beatbox? triangle-and-cowbell? whatever! Someone who understands that music is fun, not always a career, and will not be upset if we're not headlining at the Black Cat in 6 months. Someone who can write music for chord changes, not for "riffs" of indeterminate key/time signature. Someone who likes the samples above, even if you're not completely crazy about them. You are on time.

You are not: another fucking guitarist. Unless you're really good, quirky, and lack an ego--but I figure all the guitarists fitting that criteria are already taken.

I'm a quirky guitarist who also plays bass (and can therefore sympathize with the "root note" thing) and have no ego or pretentions about my playing skills.
