I am a subscriber to Keyboard Magazine. One excellent feature of the magazine is that it offers articles for all levels of keyboard player beginner,intermediate and advanced. It would be a great addition if a new forum could be started here specifically aimed at "beginners"

In this forum questions can be asked that one might be a bit hesitant to ask in a general forum.

That actually IS a good idea, but I could see it not working out too well also (not trying to be pessimistic, but I'm just thinking here). The main downside is that if it's for beginners then mostly the experienced players here wouldn't go there, and we are the ones that can answer questions from beginners; beginners helping beginners doesn't necessarily work well beyond a moral support standpoint. I can also see that on the regular forum, that would then be the slam to go to -- "Why don't you go to the beginner's forum"? But if the purpose of the forum is to commiserate and not to gain more advanced knowledge then perhaps it is a good idea -- just all depends on the intent.

Usually on this forum when someone presents themselves as a beginner, MOST responses are helpful and civil. If I were a beginner I would just be clear in my question that I'm a beginner and need beginning level help.
