Many thanks to EQ & J.J. Blair for the Todd interview. I literally grew up learning my craft as a multi-hat wearing studio guy from Todd's records and any rare interviews I could find. Todd proves over and over what we all know deep down in our hearts as artists ... it's not all about fame and fortune ... it's about satisfying the creative urges. The fame and/or fortune, albeit in varying degrees, will follow if you stay the course.

When I was in college, several decades ago, we had a saying, "Todd is God."

I still believe in that.

The "Todd is God" saying is still alive and well among his fans. I really applaud EQ for the article; it has been a pretty long time since I've read anything with any substance about his studio techniques. I would love to see more interviews with people who are self contained like Todd. Of course there are other more specialized giants that I'd love to hear more from, like Roger Nichols, Donald & Walter, etc.
