I'd like to see an interview with Paul Turner of Jamiroquai. He definitely has the funk stuff down.

I'd like to see an interview with Steve Vantsis, who plays with Fish. I saw him grooving away, looked like he was having fun this past Sunday in DC; then read a blog about how he had smashed his hand severely the week before and was playing through the pain. What a trooper!

Another one with Geddy Lee, since I missed the '07 issue, and to commemorate the release of Snakes & Arrows Live.

You can order a back issue of that. Or wait long enough, and BP will post it on their site.

We have endless regular interviews with Geddy in various mags (he does usually have a lot to say in them though).

How about one with his lookalike - Steve Lawson or the wonderful Todd Johnson?

Ha! laugh

I've often thought that myself, but was afraid if I said anything, Steve would send some goons to beat me up! grin

...the only sad thing about it is that Geddy's more than 20 years older than me. That depressing smile

I'd like to see a feature on Pete Farndon of the Pretenders. Though he was only on two albums, he laid down some great lines.

I think Babydadddy from the Scissor Sisters deserves some ink, his bass lines are really grooving, and always fit to the wide range of styles his band plays. I'd like to know how his keyboard background influences his bass playing.

Years, nay, decades before I knew who was Wooten or Geddy or even Sting, I knew another bass player. The name screamed rock 'n roll and I was riveted to the sexy image. Yep. Suzi. Quatro. believe it or not, in this day of esoteric two-handed fingerboard tapping and 6 string stratospheric riffs, Suzi is still thumping it out. She's cute and sings well, she could have dropped the bass years ago and shown us just that much more leather, but she still rocks that long axe for every show. I'd like to hear her story, her thoughts, and what on earth she was thinking when she kept a bass strapped around her neck and stepped to the lead mic in barely zipped leather. (and hey, would you invite me to step in as guest writer???)

How about interviews with influential 70's bassists such as Alphonso Johnson, Gary King and Louis Johnson (for instance)....or am I just too old?
