analogcontrolfreak, replying to your first post... I'm not a msucian too. I dont even speak English well. But for me this forum is interesting. I found few topics with 'Lounge' in title (by google) and suddenly decided to register. Have no idea why did I do so, but I'm sure - this forum will help me much!

Tell him to stoer it in a very dry place. Got to keep it Poly-unsaturated.
(Ok, that was bad, it's early...)

(Ok, that was bad, it's early...) No...now hang on...It wasn't too bad. I snickered. I mean, if I had been disgusted at the ridiculous nature of the statement, then that would be one thing, but a snicker is good. Granted, not a full out laugh, but good none the less. Right?

Oh Sure! Poly-unsaturated, funny. Now, all I need to do, is find a buyer for my K61 controller keyboard. Paul

The service here sucks. I'm still waiting for my 12 year single malt Scotch. Guess it was only a 10 year when I ordered it...

The service here sucks. I'm still waiting for my 12 year single malt Scotch. Guess it was only a 10 year when I ordered it... A guy walks into a bar, sits down and says "Give me a shot of 10 year old scotch!". The bartender, figuring the guy won't know any better slips the guy a shot of house scotch. The guy takes a sip and declares "Hey! This is house scotch! I said 10 year old scotch!" The bartender, figuring the guy must have a bit of a pallet, hands the guy a shot of three year old scotch. "Hey! The guy yells. This is three year old scotch! I said I wanted 10 year old scotch!" The bartender says "Ok, pal, looks like you know your scotch. Here it is, here is a shot of 10 year old scotch, on the house". The guy takes a sip. Smiles and says "That's what I ordered. 10 year old scotch. Thank you." Meanwhile, an old man is sitting at the other end of the bar, sipping a drink and watching what has been going on. "Have a sip of this!" the old man says, sliding his glass down the bar." The guy picks up the glass, has a sip and spits it out. "Oh my God! That tastes like piss!" he yells. "That's right" says the old man, "how old am I?".

I believe he was sarcastically pointing out the spelling error in your subject line?

Hmm! Well, I can't seem to stay away from here, so I'll stay here. On a side note, I am considering buying a Mac Mini, to replace my PC. Mainly for two reasons. One my first computer, was an apple. Apple IIe to be persise, and two, because a mac will fit my personality better. Oh sure, I know a imac, or some simmilar mac would be better, but I am looking at cost, and not power. The mac mini is $599.00 whihc, is what I can afford. Besides, I have been in a PC based environment since 1997, and I am ready for a change. Also, my PC is slowing down, and not running as well as I would like. Then again, it is at least 5 years old. Plus macs have more of the features and software that I want and like. Paul

You haven't said how your band is going. I'm of the firm belief practices allow the player to find the strong areas of playing keys or another instrument. If you get asked to play a tune, make it song people might get into for the same reason you did.
If singing is your strongest area, even background harmonies, your just denying them a performance. Being of firm belief is a figure of speech, as I've learned much about my playing should have made me a better instrumentalist.
The bands often focus on a genre. However attractive the options, try staying within some boundaries and keep solos in focus with the original. In the bustle of playing, you'll find many opportunities for creative ways to get back to the solo.
By the way, studies, practice, launching more then a few attempts, after hearing some playback the volume was so low, always, and for good reason, I decided I don't have much to offer the music world.
Singing would have brought up a level of enjoyment, by having an integral way for relating directly in expression from your 'instrument'.
Thank you for not saying anything about how I write.
