Handheld condenser Microphone :

I want to get a microphone for practice at home, and small gigs maybe. I want to try a condenser. I have looked at some store sites, and saw the AT2010, and in a local store I saw the Samson C05 CL. I would like to get a recommendation between these two, or other models. I only have a mixer with 3 eq, and a dynamic microphone. I understand there may be feedback problems with condenser microphones, and I would like to know if these condenser microphones are likely to have this problem.

Important consideration: Does your mixer have phantom power. Condenser mics won't work without it.

I have no experience with either of those mics but I have had good results using Samson mics (CO1 and CO3) for recording.

If you hold any condensor in your hand and sing directly into it, you're going to experience much greater feedback issues than with a dynamic microphone.

I presume you're looking at some kind of stage use here. If you want to try a condensor, better have IEM's, and one hell of a noise gate, because that condensor will pick up everything else on that stage.
