I did sound for her a handful of times at festivals and she was a great talent, as well as a genuinely sweet person. Bejeeber MP Hall of Fame Member Registered: 07/11/04 Posts: 2999 Loc: Nashville from LA/Seattle	Since you took lessons from her several times over several summers, it sounds like she must've been a good teacher besides being a good player?? Phillydor Gold Member Registered: 05/27/05 Posts: 737 Loc: Sydney	Emily died of a heart attack.Not heroin. Even if she was a user, it was still a heart attack - there has never been any evidence that heroin killed her. But I agree she was a fantastic player, truely one of the greats.

gmatthew Senior Member Registered: 06/26/07 Posts: 38	I bought the album she did with Larry Coryell called "Together" back in the late '80s and thought it was great.Another great talent gone way to soon.
