Hi there,

Just wondering -- recently I tried plugging my Marshall MG10CD Guitar Amplifier into my KORG i4s Arranger Keyboard -- I tried plugging the lead into every jack on the back of the keyboard...and I get nothing! I can't hear the keyboard through the amplifier (I have the lead plugged into the 'input' jack on the amplifier). I need to know -- Is there a solution to this which does not involve buying a keyboard amplifier? I've heard you can play a keyboard through a guitar amp. The sound may not be as good, but hey.

Thanks a lot,

Archaeon.

Oh and by the way -- this post is also on the Keyboard Corner forums, but these forums are perhaps more suited to it.

I think that you mean that you want to plug your keyboard INTO your AMP. (into the INPUT)

There should be no problem plugging the keyboard INTO the same jack as the guitar goes in. In fact I tried also plugging a keyboard into a FUZZ BOX to make it sound more like a guitar as well !

You should watch out for playing basslines on the keys and running it through the g*****r amp.

On the other hand, you could sell the gu***r amp and get a 2x10 bass amp with a tweeter, then you would be set.

You should just be able to plug and play.....Try plugging the keyboard into something else....does it work? Try plugging something else into your amp...does that work? It's gotta be one or the other...or a bad patch cord....this sounds real simple but you have to go thru the whole process of elimination.

Sure plug and play, however, adjust the eq in a way that is specifically taylored to you instrument....

i would think the keyboard could benefit from totally boosted mids with bass and treble adjusted to make the best handling of the lower and higher frequencies of the keyboard.... the notes on the keyboard extend down to the bass cleft
