Hello!

I've been reading up here.. great information! I've just located some mineral wool locally and now I'm researching covering. I don't want to build frames, as I'm trying to keep cost (and effort!) down to a minimum. I've read that a 3m spray glue can be used. Should the glue only be used on the back and does this apply directly to the mineral wool? Also, I'm wondering about hanging a frameless panel.. would the 8# mineral wool be rigid enough?

Sorry if these questions have been asked recently.. I reaching the point of information overload..

I've used 3M spray glue with rigid fiberglass and it works fine. Some mineral wool materials are a little "flaky" so I don't know how well the glue will stick. I can't really help with your other questions either because I use only rigid fiberglass. Mostly 705 which is quite rigid and easy to work with. But this is half the fun of DIY - you make it and figure it out as you go.

Maybe others here with more experience with mineral wool will chime in.

I just ordered 8 boxes of the same exact stuff. I have the same idea in mind for the design. Below are pics of a design I intend on copying. Unfortunately I don't remember the authors name, so if anyone knows the author of these pics please help me give them proper credit.
