I hate to be a geek, but how did they get so evenly distributed?

Heartbreaking indeed! That's Grolsch beer, right?
Quick, get over there and get the rubber rings that go on the tops of the bottles!
They make great strap locks. This is indeed true. Unfortunately, it appears in this photo that these are the traditional bottles w/ metal caps and not the cool ones with the attached ceramic stoppers w/ the red rubber washers. I use Grolsch rubber rings as strap locks on my StingRay5. Peace. --Dub $$

Yeah, I see what you mean in the photo. You can just see one of my Grolsch strap lock on top of the strap in this picture. Only problem for Grolsch is that they last for years, I've not changed mine in twenty, I suppose the make up for that market shortfall by putting beer inside so that we buy them.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM......... I occasionally enjoy that tasty bitter brew.... Yes, very heart breaking indeed. At least it wasn't Killian's...

I hate to be a geek, but how did they get so evenly distributed? Do you watch NUMB3RS? They should do an episode on this. In less than an hour they could explain how fast the truck was going, if it was going straight or swerving, and whether the driver fell asleep or if the driver was shot from a treetop 57.35 meters away at an angle of 35.21 degrees. As far as Grolsch goes, Yum! The grommets need a little hot sauce.

I was looking for my rubber-grommet-straplock photos, but they must be on the other computer... please accept this substitute: About that that shiny new bass you were expecting to arrive today, the delivery has been delayed.

Thanks for the straplock tip. I don't use straplocks, and haven't found a need for them yet, but if I do, I'll be heading straight to the bottle shop! I highly recommend them. I used to not bother with them either until one day my strap came off my Ibanez just after finishing a song when I had no hands on the bass and it fell on the cement floor. That was a horrible sight and sound that I still have nightmares about. Luckily my Smith has dunlop embedded straplocks. But even with those I had a close call. The lock peg on the strap has to be inserted into the receiver on the bass, and on one occasion it had not seated all the way in. It came out right in the middle of a song. You've never seen someone scramble to catch something like that in your life. You can move pretty fast when your $4000 bass is falling to the ground. I did manage to catch it without the bass ever contacting anything. Needless to say I'm very thorough about making sure they are fully seated now.

Duvel is currently hip in Manhattan. People drink it like they would a standard American beer, which leads to problems since Duvel has twice the alcohol content.
Nice brew, though.

one word: Ah, Duvel! I've been drinking it for years, but it's a little scarce in some places. Doesn't the name mean Devil in Flemish? It's much better than Grolsch, but alas it doesn't come with those ingenius strap locks. As for that truck wreck? They were all much too young to die.
