I saw this at the Summit Audio booth at the NAMM Show. Often times, I ask people hat they've seen at the show they would recommend, and this caught me off guard - it sounded great.
Bricasti Reverb It's from a former Lexicon designer and his partner (not that that matters good or bad). I like how you can listen to JUST the wet reverb signal and it sounds good and VERY detailed, many times more detail and accuracy than most digiverbs. It's not a convolution theory, and I think it sounds less like reality than convolution does, but I think it sounds BETTER. Somewhat like a Plate reverb is not like a room, but it sounds better in some ways, more musical.
I took their long hall program and shortened it. Very short and very bright - no HF attenuation in or out. Then with drums into it - it sounds great, not edgy or harsh at all. It will depend where they take the software and other algorhythms, but I like the format - a few KEY parameters and four "Favorite" programs to grab right up front.
I hear $3000+ for this, so I hope it comes down a bit. They would sell tons at $1500-2000, but so many people wanna be "in the box" regardless of quality. This thing would tax the hell out of your computer though, so not likely to be in the box for many years...
