My assistant told me yesterday that he has decided to leave LA, unfortunately. I'll be looking for somebody to replace him in the next few weeks. Proximity to Hollywood, having a car, great attitude, good hygene (you'd be surprised), being able to think quickly on your feet, solid organizational skills, copious note taking and attention to detail are the major requirements. Job description is assistant engineer, personal assistant and keeping a lid on the studio. Will start out as internship while I train you and assess if it's going to work, then moving to full time paid position. You will get to learn a LOT about making records. I think I'd be ideal, except that I'm nowhere near Hollywood at the moment and have just got involved with a big project over here, otherwise... damn bad timing!

I think it's cool of you to advertise here though, great to give everyon a chance. If I was back in LA I would be applying...maybe you'll still be looking for a good assistant when I do make it back!

Sorry I haven't dropped by lately, I was too busy being banned from another forum.

If you guys ever have a relatively unskilled position open up, general "assistant assistant gofer cablewinder studio cleaner" type thing... please let me know. My daughter's out there in Hollyweird. She needs a bit more permanent job than what she's doing right now. She's a good kid, guitar plonker, just graduated from high school. Her verbal skills are excellent, she's a good communicator and a good worker.

Tedster, we've got a couple different people that we call on from time to time for that kind of thing. Have her hit me with an email and a resume. Always looking for good people.

BTW, the position has been filled for my studio. However, I'll leave this thread up in case it leads to anything for anybody else.
