I like it when I've had something for a while and FINALLY realize that it's really good. I bought this baby Marshall head in a NYC shop a few years ago. It's a 30-watter from the 1980's, so it's kinda handy for the studio, but nothing fancy or valuable.
I've never used it much (one channel has a "too thick" distortion). But I've finally got around to trying out for some tracks and everything I do on it sounds amazing. Better than my other very rare and classic amps.
Today I was listening to a track and thinking - THAT guitar sound works everywhere. It has all the good elements, and maintains them no matter what system plays it back...
Every rediscover something, or finally find out what it WAS good for?
