Wow, what a bunch of great stuff. I've been a fan of BT's for years (all the way back to IMA and "Blue Skies"), but what he had to say so needed to be said and heard.

...you can almost reduce it to saying that it's all about the music...the song.
If you got it there...it will stand up on it's own...and it will be unique.

There's two parts to the meaning of emulate :
#1) To strive to equal or better
#2) To imitate
If it's #2 then isn't the "industry" emulating itself over and over and over. I mean, that's what the current industry is. Isn't it ?
