Though if you make 2 by 4 foot panels from sheet rock and lay them in the grid, that might help a bit. But it still won't be as good as a solid ceiling with no air gaps.
I found some acoustic ceiling tiles at http://www.acousticalceilingtiles.com that claim to have a NCR rating of 1.00 and a CAC rating of 25. Is a CAC rating of 25 good enough to keep most noise from upstairs from getting into the studio below?? What if I put fiberglass rolled insulation in the spaces between the floor joyces and then used these sound deadening ceiling tiles too???

They'll likely help a little bit in reducing upper frequencies, some vocal range, and impact noise. But, they'll do nothing to stop lower mids and bass.
